Bare metal access management overview

AMD Accelerator Cloud (AAC) infrastructure is divided into two services: Plexus and Bare Metal. This documentation pertains solely to the Bare Metal environment.

To get Bare Metal access, you must be referred by a designated technical representative from AMD, who serves as your sponsor and point of contact. Access is regulated via an internal AMD-managed application.

Authentication for Bare Metal is enforced exclusively through SSH keys. While the sign-up form collects an email and password, those credentials are valid only for Plexus. Your AMD sponsor must submit your SSH public key during onboarding.

For access steps, partition naming, and common software (ROCm, Podman), see Bare metal prerequisites. For definitions of terms such as Slurm, partition, and queue, see the Glossary.
